Cardiovascular Disease Prevention [cholesterol]

Cardiovascular Disease Prevention, Obesity & a good Weight Loss program

Cardiovascular disease is a term used to refer to the different conditions and illnesses that affect your heart and blood vessels.

The main cause of these diseases is gaining excessive weight and high cholesterol levels.

The fat that you gain builds up in the inner lining of the blood vessels, and that will, in turn, create a plaque which causes the artery walls to lose their elasticity.

Now we all know that the blood vessels carry blood from and to the heart. When a plaque is deposited in them, it blocks the blood flow.

The more weight you gain, the more fat build-up in your blood vessels, and the bigger the plaque will be.

It’s even more serious when the plaque reduces or blocks the blood flow, and that’ll cause a heart attack, or if the plaque is somewhere in the brain, in which case the end result is a stroke

Now the process of fats building up in your vein is complex and slow, it doesn’t happen overnight. Often starting with childhood and progressing with age.

Whats the Causes of Cardiovascular disease?

Now there are a lot of causes for cardiovascular diseases, and some are highlighted below;

  • Heart defects from birth
  • High blood pressure
  • Obesity
  • Diabetes
  • Smoking
  • Excessive use of drugs, alcohol and caffeine

The reason I’m focusing on weight is that it’s one of the main factors CVDs. 5 to 6 % of the global population dies because of CVDs (Cardiovascular Disease) as a result of physical inactivity and obesity.

Studies that have been done recently indicate that 30% of the world’s population is obese and that is some dangerous and scary statics right there.

Not only is obesity a risk to your heart, but it’s also a risk for other parts of your body. Obesity causes diabetes, joint problems (because of the constant weight, there is stress and pressure applied on the joints,).

It also causes cancer, (in women, being overweight contributes to breast, colon, gallbladder, and uterus cancer. In men, obesity increases the risks of colon cancer and prostate cancers.)

Let’s not forget the psychosocial effects that obesity has on the person. There are hundreds of thousands of boys and girls getting bullied all over the world because they are overweight.

What can you do to lose weight/ prevent gaining weight? [Cardiovascular Disease Prevention]

There are two basic things you need to do to overcome this huge challenge, and those are good diet and exercises.

Exercise can prevent or even reverse the effects of certain diseases. Exercise lowers blood pressure and cholesterol, which may be a factor in the escalation of a heart attack.

It also significantly helps with stroke prevention. Additionally, a good diet can prevent the cholesterol levels from getting high.

For working out, there are so many types for exercising, like aerobic, weight training and yoga that can come in handy. And with regards to diet, you can a follow a diet program.

3 Tips to successfully lose weight [Cardiovascular Disease Prevention]

1.A Massive Desire to do it!

One thing that will ensure that you lose weight successfully is if you show an honest desire for doing it.

No one is forcing you, and you aren’t doing it against your own will. You are your own motivation.

2.Don’t Forbid Yourself

One of the reasons a lot of people who want to lose weight do give up half way is that they starve themselves and forbid themselves from everything they love.

And that is not right, you should get all the nutrition you require from your food, and you can have a cheat day or two but do not go crazy on the cheat day.

3. Set small Goals

Decide on where you want to be in a week or month and set small, realistic goals. For example, at the end of this week, I want to be able to do ten push-ups in a minute instead in this week I want to lose 10 pounds.

Cardiovascular diseases are the number one cause of death globally. In 2015 only, it has been estimated that 17.7 million have died due to CVDS.

And there are 28.4 million people who are diagnosed with CVDs, so if you are one of those people and you are surfing from CVDs because of your weight.

Cardiovascular Disease Prevention is possible! It is now the time to lose weight to relieve the symptoms of cardiovascular diseases and to prevent a stroke or a heart attack from happening to you.
